New fast ferry for Zhejiang province completes sea trials
China’s Jianglong Shipbuilding has completed conducting sea trials of a new high-speed catamaran ferry ordered by local operator Zhoushan Putuo Huandao Passenger Transport.
Putuo Xiangyun has steel-aluminium construction, an LOA of 40.35 metres, a beam of 10.38 metres, capacity for 288 passengers, and a maximum speed in excess of 23 knots.
Once in service, the vessel will be operated between the islands of Zhujiajian and Taohua in Zhejiang’s Zhoushan archipelago.
