Faststream Logistics orders compact ferry from Bangladesh

Bangladesh’s DESH Shipbuilding and Engineering is currently building a 12.5-metre passenger ferry for Faststream Logistics.

This vessel is designed to navigate in the inland waters and coastal anchorages of Bangladesh year-round. She was designed to carry 25 passengers and up to one tonne of cargo.

Considering the choppy seas often present during monsoon season, her chine was designed to reduce roll, and a steel structure was chosen for weight and strength.

She has a V-shaped hull for higher speed, and is equipped with a high power engine for the towing of medium size barges.
