Damen to supply two additional electric vessels for extended Copenhagen ferry service

Danish public transport operator Arriva Danmark has placed an order with Damen for two new fully-electric ferries in a series to account for extended ferry routes in the Copenhagen central metropolitan area.

The ferries, each of which has capacity for 80 passengers, are scheduled to be delivered in May 2020 and will serve both local commuters and tourists visiting Copenhagen.

Arriva had placed an earlier order with Damen for five vessels from the same 80-passenger electric ferry series in July 2018.
