Belgium’s DAB Vloot orders electric ferry from Estonian builder
Belgian inland vessel operator DAB Vloot has placed an order for a new electric ferry to be built by Baltic Workboats of Estonia.
Once completed, the vessel will have capacity for 50 passengers and 25 bicycles. It will also have a Corvus Orca Energy battery pack installed as a source for propulsion power while the electric propulsion system will be supplied by Danfoss Editron.
To cover auxiliary power consumption, solar panels will be installed on the sunroof.
