Austal delivers high-speed catamaran to VS Grand Ferries

Austal has delivered a new 30-metre high-speed aluminium catamaran to Philippine ferry operator VS Grand Ferries.

The Incat Crowther-designed ship, named Seacat, was built at Austal’s shipyard in Balamban, Cebu.

Seacat provides capacity for 300 passengers at speeds of up to 25 knots.

The AU$5.5 million (US$3.9 million) contract was awarded to Austal in August 2017 with construction commencing in September 2017.
