Armon Shipyard launches new ferry for Mar De Ons

Armon Shipyard has launched Mar De Cies, a new high-speed catamaran ferry for Spanish operator Mar De Ons.

The Incat Crowther-designed aluminium vessel has a length of 32 metres, capacity for 400 passengers, and a design service speed of 25 knots. A maximum speed in excess of 29 knots was achieved during sea trials.

Mar De Cies will serve Mar De Ons’ ferry routes connecting the cities of Vigo, Cangas, and Baiona in Galicia to the group of islands lying off the northwestern coast of the Spanish mainland.
