Windstar’s Star Legend to get increased passenger capacity

Fincantieri has begun work to increase the passenger capacity of Star Legend, a vessel operated by Seattle-based Windstar Cruises.

The 212-passenger vessel will eventually be able to accommodate 100 additional passengers through the installation of a new mid-section, the first steel of which was cut at Fincantieri’s shipyard in Palermo earlier this month.

The mid-section will contain 50 new suites to house the additional passengers as well as space for two new restaurants.

Star Legend is the second of three Windstar vessels slated to undergo conversion at Fincantieri.
