Vard confirms order from Viking Cruises

Vard has confirmed the contracts for the design and construction of two cruise ships for Viking Cruises.

The total contract value is approximately NOK5 billion (US$610 million).

The hulls will be built by Vard in Romania.

Scheduled for delivery in the second quarter of 2021 and the second quarter of 2022, respectively, the environmentally-friendly vessels deal includes an option for two more vessels to be built by the shipbuilder, which is a subsidiary of Fincantieri.
