Swan Hellenic unveils name of newest expedition ship

UK cruise operator Swan Hellenic has confirmed that its newest expedition ship will sail under the name SH Diana.

The vessel will feature a 4.6MW diesel-electric hybrid propulsion system with selective catalytic reduction and a PC 6 ice-strengthened hull that is fully Safe Return to Port (SRTP) certified. Five-star accommodations including suites and balcony staterooms will be available for 192 guests.

Other amenities will include a swimming pool, a spa, a panoramic sauna, a gym, a library, an expedition laboratory, an observation lounge, a restaurant, and a bar.

SH Diana will also be the largest ship in the Swan Hellenic fleet with a length of 125 metres and a GRT of 12,100.

Construction of the vessel is underway at Helsinki Shipyard in Finland.
