SunStone Ships’ third and fourth Infinity-class expedition vessels have successfully completed sea trials, the company said on Friday, February 12.

The trials of Ocean Victory and Ocean Explorer were conducted over a five-day period in the South China Sea under the supervision of representatives from Bureau Veritas, shipbuilder China Merchants Heavy Industry, and SunStone.

Once in service, the 104- by 18-metre, PC6 ice class newbuildings will each be capable of accommodating up to 200 guests and 115 crew. Facilities will include a swimming pool, a bar, restaurants, lounges, a boutique, a gym, and a spa.

SunStone said the trials were completed just before the Lunar New Year and that the timeline for delivery is progressing on schedule despite the Covid-19 pandemic.
