Chantiers de l'Atlantique shipyard has cut the first steel for Celebrity Cruises' newest ship, Celebrity Apex.
The vessel is the second in a series of four being built by the yard for the company.
The cruise ship is expected to be delivered spring 2020, with the third and fourth ships in the series arriving in Fall 2021 and Fall 2022, respectively.
Chantiers de l'Atlantique shipyard, formerly STX France, is based in Saint-Nazaire, France.
