Second of four river cruisers for Crystal

Rhein-class cruise ship

The second of four river cruise ships of the Rhine class has been handed over to owner Crystal River Cruises at builder MV Werften.

Like its sister ship, the 135-metre by 11.40-metre river cruiser was specially designed for river cruises across Europe. It fulfils the highest safety and navigation standards, including a continuous, modern command bridge and a steering propeller for optimum manoeuvrability.

The design of the “six-star” Crystal Mahler is similar to that of private yachts, according to the owner. Features include light-flooded public areas with ceiling-high glass walls and 55 spacious suites with panoramic sliding windows, for a total passenger capacity of 110. There are also three gourmet restaurants, a spa and fitness area and a swimming pool with a glass roof on board.
