River cruise ship designed for disabled passengers to sail on maiden voyage

German river cruise operator Phoenix Reisen is set to take the newbuild passenger vessel Viola out on its maiden voyage on Monday, June 3.

The vessel, which was primarily designed to accommodate wheelchair-bound guests, will embark on a Rhine cruise as it sails operationally for the first time.

Viola’s official naming ceremony will be held in Bonn at 14:00 local time on June 3 before the vessel starts sailing up the Rhine in the evening.
