Ponant to resume sailings with Iceland itineraries

French cruise company Ponant is set to resume its operational sailings with all-new eight-day expeditions covering Iceland.

These cruises, which will be for the months of July and August, will also be the inaugural sailings of the company’s newest Ponant Explorers-class vessel, the recently delivered Le Bellot.

Among the vessel’s notable features is a camera- and hydrophone-equipped underwater lounge that will enable guests to view and listen to the marine environment beneath the surface.

Prior to the resumption of sailings, Ponant had collaborated with Bureau Veritas to ensure its reinforced Covid-19 protocols on Le Bellot will exceed international regulations. Further, the vessel’s onboard hospital will have state-of-the-art medical equipment and will be staffed by at least one doctor and one nurse around the clock.
