Palumbo completes Silver Cloud conversion

The Valetta-based Palumbo Malta Shipyard (PMS) has completed the conversion of Silver Cloud from a standard luxury cruise ship to an ice-class expedition cruise ship for Silversea Cruises.

Built in 1994, the 156.7-metre-long and 21.5-metre-wide vessel is limited to 200 guests in polar waters. Silver Cloud has a top speed of 18 knots.

The 16,800-tonne vessel with seven passenger decks has five dining options, jogging track, library and swimming pool.

Eighty per cent of her suites include a veranda.
