A passenger vessel that was originally completed in 1956 by Blohm + Voss is slated to be taken over by Norwegian cruise operator Vestland Classic.

Sjøkurs, formerly known as Ragnvald Jarl, had spent the last few years operating as a training ship under Sørlandet Seilende Skoleskibs, a Norwegian maritime education institution. Prior to that, it had sailed as part of Hurtigruten’s fleet until 1995.

The vessel will then undergo modernisation at an unnamed shipyard in Gdansk, Poland, before it enters service with its new owners.
