Holland America Line is reconfiguring the family staterooms and increasing the size of its Neptune Lounge on Nieuw Statendam after feedback from customers.

Due for delivery on December 1, Nieuw Statendam is under construction at Fincantieri’s Marghera shipyard in Italy.

The 2,666-guest, 99,500-tonne, Pinnacle-Class ship will have eight more staterooms than sister-ship Koningsdam and 12 ocean-view staterooms for solo cruisers.

Under the changes, there will be five more ocean-view and three more interior staterooms, bringing the total stateroom count to 1,339.

The 32 ocean-view family staterooms will accommodate up to five guests and feature two bathrooms and extra closet space.
