Meyer Turku cuts first steel for Carnival’s largest ever cruise ship
Meyer Turku Shipyard of Finland has held a steel-cutting ceremony for a 5,286-lower berth cruise ship for Carnival Cruise Line.
The ship will be the first North American-based cruise ship to run on LNG and will also be the largest Carnival cruise ship ever built with a gross displacement of 180,000 tonnes.
The yet-unnamed ship will operate from Florida beginning in 2020.
