Italian shipyard Fincantieri has cut the first steel for the second in a series of four cruise ships slated for Explora Journeys, the new luxury brand of MSC Cruises.
Explora II will be built at Fincantieri’s Genoa facilities. Its scheduled completion is in 2024, one year after that of sister vessel Explora I.
The four ships in the series will each have a gross tonnage of approximately 64,000 tonnes and 461 guest suites.
