Helsinki Shipyard of Finland has delivered the first in a series of three polar expedition ships ordered by UK cruise company Swan Hellenic.

SH Minerva left Finland earlier this month and is now underway to Ushuaia, Argentina, from where it will sail on its maiden operational voyage.

The 113-metre newbuild has a PC5 ice-strengthened hull, a diesel-electric propulsion system, and 76 cabins that can house 152 guests. The majority of cabins also feature balconies.
