Fincantieri delivers first of four ships ordered by Virgin Voyages

Scarlet Lady, the first of four ships in a series ordered by Virgin Voyages, was handed over to its new owners in a ceremony at Fincantieri’s Genoa Sestri Ponente shipyard on Friday, February 14.

The 278- by 38-metre vessel features over 1,400 cabins designed to accommodate more than 2,770 passengers as well as space for 1,160 crew.

Scarlet Lady is also equipped with a 1MW energy production system which uses the diesel engine’s waste heat to supply some of the vessel’s onboard electricity.
