Costa Cruises takes delivery of LNG-fuelled cruise ship from Meyer Turku

NAVAL ARCHITECTURE WEEK

Costa Cruises has taken delivery of Costa Smeralda, a new cruise ship built by Meyer Turku.

The newbuild is the first of two Excellence-class LNG-fuelled vessels ordered by Costa Cruises from the Finnish shipyard.

Costa Smeralda has a length of 337 metres, a beam of 42 metres, a crew of 1,646, and capacity for up to 6,554 passengers.
