Chantiers de l'Atlantique has floated out MSC Virtuosa, the second of three Meraviglia Plus-class ships ordered by MSC Cruises.

The vessel will be the second in the MSC Cruises fleet to be equipped with a selective catalytic reduction (SCR) system and an advanced wastewater treatment system (AWTS). The company claims the SCR system will help reduce NOx emissions by as much as 80 per cent.

MSC Virtuosa is scheduled to be delivered in October 2020.
