Carnival Horizon departs on maiden voyage

The 133,500-tonne cruise ship Carnival Horizon has departed on her maiden journey from Barcelona.

Fincantieri’s shipyard at Monfalcone delivered the Vista-class vessel to Carnival Cruise Line last week.

The second in the line’s Vista class, Carnival Horizon caters for 3,954 passengers.

Carnival Horizon features SkyRide, an IMAX theatre, a Dr Seuss-themed WaterWorks aqua park and various food and beverage outlets.

The third vessel in the series, Carnival Panorama, is under construction and scheduled to enter service in November 2019.
