Carnival Cruise Line welcomes Mardi Gras to fleet

Carnival Cruise Line took delivery of the newbuild cruise ship Mardi Gras in a live virtual ceremony at Meyer Turku yard in Finland on Friday, December 18.

The 340-metre Excellence-class ship is powered by LNG and has capacity for 5,200 guests in 2,600 staterooms and 180 suites. Amenities include four restaurants, an atrium with movable LED screens, and one of the first roller coasters ever to be fitted on a seagoing vessel.

Mardi Gras is will depart on its delivery voyage to the US later this month. It is scheduled to sail on its inaugural voyage on April 24, 2021.
