Carnival Corporation to sell six ships by Q3 2020

Carnival Corporation intends to dispose of six cruise ships in its fleet during fiscal year 2020, the company confirmed in a recent statement.

The six unnamed vessels were originally slated for selling over the ensuing years. However, an accelerated removal programme will see these vessels being sold off before the end of the third quarter of 2020.

Carnival said the disposal of the vessels is in line with its capacity optimisation strategy, which is being implemented in light of reduced passenger bookings due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
