Baleària launches Port Everglades-Bimini fast ferry route
Baleària Caribbean, a subsidiary of Spain’s Baleària Group, has launched a new fast ferry service between Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and the island of Bimini in the Bahamas.
The vessel that will connect these two ports has capacity for 650 passengers and a service speed of 35 knots.
The ferry service from Port Everglades to Bimini replaces the previous service from the Port of Miami. It is Baleària’s second Fort Lauderdale-Bahamas route following the 2011 launch of the ferry service to and from Freeport on Grand Bahama.
