Japan’s Kegoya Dock launched Trans-Asia 20, the first 98-metre-long Ro-Pax in a series for Philippine shipowner Chelsea Logistics and Infrastructure Holdings Corporation (CLC) on Friday, July 5.

Scheduled to be delivered in October 2019, the vessel will be able to carry a total of 740 passengers, 22 buses, and six trucks once completed.

On the same day as Trans-Asia 20‘s launching, Kegoya Dock laid the keel for the second 98-metre Ro-Pax ordered by CLC. Delivery of the second vessel is scheduled for April 2020.

Both Ro-Paxes will be operated by CLC subsidiary Trans-Asia Shipping Lines (TASLI).
