Shipyard De Hoop to build tour boat for German operator

Shipyard De Hoop has been awarded a contract to build a new tour boat for German operator Köln-Düsseldorfer Deutsche Rheinschiffahrt (KD).

The vessel will have capacity for 1,000 passengers and will be designed specifically for entertainment operations such as parties and corporate events.

René van der Velden and Schiffstechnik Buchloh will cooperate in the design the vessel.

This will be the third tour boat ordered by KD from Shipyard De Hoop following Rheinenergie (pictured) and Rheinfantasy.
