Damen enters cruise ship market with Norwegian order
Damen Shipyards Group and Norway’s SeaDream Yacht Club have signed a contract for a new 155-metre luxury cruise ship.
The ice class vessel, the first cruise ship to be built by Damen, will be named Mega Yacht.
The purpose-built ship will be designed to operate in both polar and tropical destinations around the world.
Mega Yacht will be completely constructed and outfitted, including the interior, at Damen’s yard in Mangalia, Romania.
Construction will commence in October of this year with a scheduled delivery in September 2021.
