Fincantieri cuts steel for MSC’s third Seaside-class ship

A steel-cutting ceremony was held at Fincantieri’s shipyard in Monfalcone, Italy, on Monday, November 26, for the third of a planned four Seaside-class vessels ordered by operator MSC Cruises.

Named MSC Seashore, the 169,000-tonne vessel is expected to enter service in the spring of 2021.

The yet-unnamed fourth Seaside class vessel is scheduled to join the MSC fleet just 18 months later in the autumn of 2022.
