New Bruny Island Ro-Paxes to be built in Tasmania

Two new SeaLink Travel Group Ro-Pax vessels for the community of Bruny Island will be built by Richardson Devine Marine (RDM) in Tasmania.

These will be the eighth and ninth vessels to be built by RDM for SeaLink.

The first vessel will have a length of 45 metres and a vehicle deck for up to 40 cars. It is expected to be in operation in December 2019.

The second vessel, currently being designed by Incat Crowther, will have greater capacity.
