STX France delivers world’s largest cruise ship

The world’s largest cruise ship, Symphony of the Seas, has been delivered to Royal Caribbean International at the STX France Shipyard in Saint Nazaire.

The 228,081GT vessel is 362 metres long, 66 metres wide and 70 metres high.

She has the same passenger capacity of 6,680 as sister ship Harmony of the Seas, but is slightly heavier.

This third ship in the class is due for delivery in 2021.

Symphony of the Seas is the first ship to be granted as Silent-E class from DNV-GL for her low level of noise under the water.
