Royal IHC buys Maritime Design and Engineering Services

Royal IHC has acquired the Netherlands-based Maritime Design and Engineering Services (MDES).

The Hardinxveld-Giessendam-based company provides engineering services, such as feasibility studies, concept designs and detailed engineering, to a range of clients in the maritime sector, including IHC.

Following the acquisition, the staff of MDES will continue their activities within the department of IHC Engineering.

MD&ES General Manager Wim van de Voorde will become Director Engineering Shipbuilding at IHC.
