Wight Shipyard launches new windfarm support vessel series

Wight Shipyard has launched a new series of catamarans to be marketed primarily to customers in the UK and European offshore wind sectors.

Designed in collaboration with Incat Crowther, the windfarm support vessels come in both 27- by nine-metre and 32- by 10-metre variants.

Each catamaran will have a lightweight marine grade aluminium hull and options for either CPP, FPP, waterjet, or IPS propulsion. Operating speeds in excess of 30 knots are achievable depending on the machinery package selected.
