Ouyang Offshore takes delivery of wind turbine installation vessel

China’s Ouyang Offshore took delivery of its new wind turbine installation vessel, OuYang 1, at Dayang Offshore Equipment’s yard in Jiangsu on Wednesday, October 10.

OuYang 1 is a self-elevating vessel with a large open deck. This allows the vessel to rapidly raise its hull clear of the water to provide a stable platform from which offshore construction and maintenance work can be conducted.

OuYang 1 is a four-legged, DP1, self-propelled vessel with a working depth of 50 metres and accommodations for up to 75 people.

Aqualis Offshore of Norway supervised the construction of the vessel.
