Naval architecture firm Longitude Engineering, a subsidiary of UK-based LOC Group, has completed providing concept and basic design services, as well as construction specification for yard engagement and procurement activities, for a new DP2 cable lay vessel for Woen Jinn Harbor Engineering of Taiwan.

The ABS- and CR-classed vessel will be used in support of Taiwan’s offshore wind industry. It is designed to be suitable for export cable, array cable, and cable repair work.

Much of the design work on the vessel was carried out by Longitude’s Singapore office.
