Inverlussa wraps up windfarm inspection support work for SkySpecs

UK-based Inverlussa Marine Services recently completed a three-month contract wherein it provided a support vessel for drone operations by US robotics firm SkySpecs in the North Sea.

The multi-role vessel Helen Mary was used as a platform from which SkySpecs’ drones performed inspections of wind turbines and blades for three unnamed clients. The inspections covered five different sites with a combined output of 1,400 MW in the German and Dutch sectors.

Inverlussa had worked alongside UK windfarm crew transfer vessel (CTV) operator Offshore Turbine Services, which provided operational management assistance during the project.
