G-Tec vessel sails for UK for geotechnical investigation at Hornsea Four wind farm
G-Tec’s DP2 drillship Omalius has successfully completed its mobilisation in Antwerp and has sailed to the Hornsea Four offshore wind farm project site off the UK east coast.
The vessel will carry out geotechnical investigation at the wind farm under a contract awarded by Ørsted.
The work will include deep soil and high-quality rock sampling, with a main focus on high quality chalk sampling and offshore and onshore laboratory testing.
