Bernhard Schulte Offshore, MidOcean Wind form JV to serve US offshore wind market

Bernhard Schulte Offshore (BSO) and MidOcean Wind (MOW) have entered into a joint venture to build and operate support vessels for the US offshore wind industry as well as explore opportunities in other sectors of US merchant shipping.

The joint venture seeks to introduce Jones Act-compliant walk-to-work vessels and crewboats that would also incorporate proven features and capabilities from similar wind farm support vessels already in operation in Europe.

The new company will be based in Connecticut where MidOcean Marine, MidOcean Wind’s parent company, is also headquartered.
