Vår Energi to acquire vessels for North Sea work

Vår Energi has confirmed that it is currently in the process of acquiring two platform supply vessels (PSVs) for service in the North Sea.

The acquisition will cover the hybrid LNG- and electric-powered Olympic Energy (pictured) and Troms Sirius, which uses traditional fuel but will be upgraded to be able to be connected to shore power.

Both vessels will operate between the Balder field in the North Sea and Dusavik quay north of Stavanger. Troms Sirius will commence operations inlate November 2020 while Olympic Energy will follow in February 2021.
