Newly awarded charter contracts include those for construction, accommodation, and maintenance vessels. Deployments will take place in the US Gulf of Mexico as well as in UK, Norwegian, and Dutch waters.

Prosafe to deploy accommodation vessel in Gulf of Mexico

Prosafe has entered into an agreement with an unnamed operator to provide accommodation services using the vessel Safe Concordia in the US Gulf of Mexico.

The firm duration of the contract, which will commence before the end of October, is 330 days with up to six months of options.

The value of the contract’s firm duration is approximately US$33 million.

Solstad Offshore secures new contract, extensions

Solstad Offshore has confirmed the awarding of new contracts and extensions for four of its platform supply vessels (PSVs).

The contracts have a combined firm duration of 850 days supporting various clients in the UK and Dutch sectors.

The contracts have a combined value of approximately NOK105 million (US$10 million) and will be executed by Far Symphony, Far Spica, Normand Serenade, and Normand Tantalus.

Subsea 7 awards charters to two operators

Siem Offshore has entered into a new three-year contract for the offshore support and construction vessel (OSCV) Siem Stingray with Subsea 7 as charterer. The contract will commence in direct continuation of its current commitment, securing further firm utilisation of three years.

Subsea 7 intends to employ the vessel supporting its clients world-wide predominantly within the oil and gas Sector undertaking projects within offshore construction and inspection, maintenance and repair (IMR).

Subsea 7 has also entered into four long-term vessel charter agreements with Otto Candies and Bordelon Marine to expand its offshore construction, IMR, ROV survey, and pipe/umbilical laying support operations in the Gulf of Mexico.

The vessels selected for the charter are the supply vessel Connor Bordelon and the IMR, survey, and light construction vessels Grant Candies, Wyatt Candies, and Ross Candies. The contracts have differing start dates and durations, with options for extensions.

Eidesvik PSV to continue supporting Equinor’s operations

Eidesvik Offshore has been awarded a three-year time charter contract with Equinor Energy for the PSV Viking Avant.

The contract is awarded in direct continuation of the current charter and will commence in December 2022. In addition, Equinor has been granted options for further extensions.
