French offshore vessel operator Bourbon and Canadian marine support specialist Horizon Maritime Services have formed a new joint venture company with a seven-strong vessel fleet.

Incorporated in Norway, Bourbon Horizon will have offices in Fosnavag and in Newfoundland and Labrador. It will also boast a base fleet of five platform supply vessels (PSVs), one large anchor handling tug supply vessel (AHTS) with a work-class remotely operated vehicle (WROV), and a multi-purpose supply vessel (MPSV) currently configured for subsea and trenching services.

The joint venture will focus on the North Sea and Canadian offshore markets.
