The contract, which starts in January, is for 12 months with 14 months of options.
McDermott International’s affiliate, MAPL, has hired a general-purpose support vessel Far Stream, and pipe-haul PSVs for work offshore Western Australia with a combined vessels utilisation of 200 days when the contract begins in the first or second quarter of 2018.
Following the award for Far Saracen and Far Senator, Cooper Energy has contracted another anchor handler for its Bass Strait drilling campaign. The Far Statesman is being contracted for 100 days firm when it starts in the first quarter of 2018.
The values of all contracts have remained confidential.
Meanwhile, Statoil Brasil Óleo e Gás has awarded SolstadFarstad a two-year firm contract to the Brazilian-flagged PSV Sea Brasil.
