Saudi Aramco has awarded a large contract to McDermott International for the engineering, procurement, construction and installation of 13 jackets in the Zuluf, Marjan, Berri and Abu Safah fields, offshore Saudi Arabia.
The combined total weight of the structures is about 24,000 tonnes.
McDermott expects to work on the project until the second half of 2018, using its engineering teams in Dubai and Chennai. Vessels from its fleet are scheduled to undertake the installation and completions work.
The company defines a large contract as between US$50 million and US$250 million.
