Damen unveils new accommodation vessel design

Damen recently unveiled a new design for an accommodation vessel with capacity for up to 120 people.

Although intended to operate primarily as an accommodation platform, the vessel has been designed to perform a variety of offshore tasks both at surface level and subsea as well as submarine rescue duties. It can be fitted with a moonpool-deployed saturation dive system, a stern A-frame, an offshore access system, and a helicopter deck.

The vessel will also be DP-equipped, allowing adequate station keeping in conditions of up to sea state five.

Damen has included options for the vessel to operate on green methanol produced from biological waste.
