Hukkelberg Boats unveils new light diving craft

Hukkelberg Boats of Norway recently unveiled a new light diving craft (LDC) for offshore diving.

The vessel is customised for Nitrox diving on offshore installations, floating vessels, and nearshore installations related to the energy industry. It is to be carried on a mother vessel and launched and recovered from a davit system.

There is dedicated workspace for two dive operators in the wheelhouse, where they can monitor and coordinate the dive operation.

The 12.65- by 3.55-metre LDC has a typical speed range of 30-35 knots, twin diesel engines, and waterjet propulsion. The hull is constructed of marine aluminium and the fender is constructed of special fender foam and is protected with a tailor-made PVC cover.
