Damen unveils new fish farm workboat

Damen Shipyards Group has unveiled a new workboat designed specifically for the aquaculture industry.

The vessel’s scope of work covers a range of fish farm-related duties from harvesting to net cleaning and diving support to de-licing.

The workboat will have an LOA of 26 metres, a beam of 12.8 metres, a cargo hold capacity of 85 square metres, and an aft cargo deck area of 110 square metres. It may be also fitted with IMO Tier III-compliant engines, a DP1 system, a NOx reduction system, a towing winch, and space for two deck cranes each with 220 tonnes lifting capacity.
