US builder to introduce UK-designed crewboats to local offshore wind market

Bremerton, Washington-based Safe Boats International has entered into a formal partnership agreement with UK boat builder Diverse Marine wherein the latter’s crewboat designs will be made available to interested clients in the US offshore wind market.

Diverse Marine Director Ben Colman said the agreement principally covers offshore wind crewboats but can be extended to any vessel on the company’s portfolio.

Colman added that one of the goals of the agreement is the reduction of first of class production costs for crewboats in the American market.
