Next Generation Shipyards to build windfarm crewboat for Coastwise Offshore Services
Netherlands-based Next Generation Shipyards has been awarded a contract to build a new aluminium crewboat for local operator Coastwise Offshore Services (COS).
The vessel, which will be named COS Master, will have a length of 27 metres, a cruising speed of 27 knots, seating for up to 30 passengers, and a cargo capacity of 22 tonnes. It will be used primarily to provide support for offshore wind operations.
The crewboat is scheduled to be delivered to COS in December 2021.
